Hi!

Romain Savigny

Front-end developer & UI/UX designer

I design websites and build them myself, from the Figma mockup to the code. Below are my background and my projects.

The camp

Romain’s camp at the foot of a hill: a Minecraft-style signpost to LinkedIn, GitHub and studiors, a mailbox to contact him, a speaker with three radios (the camp radio, Lofi and Jazz), a campfire, a bike and a small Belgian flag. The weather is the live weather of Napa Valley.

Career

  • Today · Freelance · studiors · Front-end development, creative dev and UI/UX design.

Skills

  • Front & creative dev: TypeScript, Astro, Three.js, WebGL and shaders, Animation
  • Design: UI / UX, Figma, Design system, Prototyping
  • 3D: Blender, Stylized modeling, Real-time rendering

Design UI/UX

Before I code, I lay out what the site needs and draw it in Figma.

I aim for clear interfaces that also work with a keyboard or a screen reader.

This site started the same way, with a mockup, before the 3D.

Off screen

Sport and the outdoors, mostly on the bike.

Music while I work, on headphones or a speaker.

Anime: Naruto, Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, Kingdom.

Games: Minecraft and Nintendo.

The cave

Under the cabin, Romain’s gaming room: three screens, a gaming chair, a playable arcade cabinet (Creeper Run), a chessboard on a low table (at night you can challenge Romain), neon signs and posters (GTA VI, Naruto, The Great Wave off Kanagawa), nods to Minecraft, Attack on Titan and Kingdom, and the studiors sculpture. A “WORK” door leads to the projects room.

The site you’re visiting right now. You scroll through it, from the camp to this room by way of the cabin and the cave. I built the sets with Python scripts in Blender, and Three.js draws them in real time with toon shading.

  • Azzato

Luthier house · Brussels and Louvain-la-Neuve · since 1919 · 2026 · Made at vdb creation · Design and development

Azzato is a luthier house founded in 1919, in Brussels and Louvain-la-Neuve. It sells and rents instruments, and its workshop sets them up and repairs them, for children starting out as much as for seasoned musicians. On the site you pick an instrument by family or by use, and read the workshop’s story. A project made at vdb creation, a digital creative studio in Brussels.

    Stack: Astro, TinaCMS, Cloudflare

Silent film. First the Azzato logo, its typefaces (Times New Roman and Satoshi) and its colors: ivory, light olive, olive, espresso and obsidian. Then the site, page by page, with the instrument families by use, a century of workshop since 1919 and what the workshop does (set-up, repair, advice). The film ends on the mobile version.
